My kids last day of school was May 29th. We are starting our 2nd week of summer already, it is hard to believe. We have many fun things planned for the summer. It should be a fun summer. Emma and Seth are taking swim lessons this week. I like to have them take lessons at the beginning of the summer to remind them. They are both on the verge of being great swimmers.

5k Race for Recess
Last Saturday Seth and I ran a 5k. It is called the Race for Recess because all of the money that is made goes toward anything needed for recess at the school. Only Seth and I were able run the race because the other kids had early soccer games. It was Seth's first 5k and he was very excited. We ran at his pace, we ran when he wanted to run and walked when he needed to walk. He ran most of the race and we finished in 43 minutes, pretty good for a 5 year old's first race.
This is us before the race. |

Seth's Kindergarten Graduation
Seth is finished with Kindergarten. It is hard to believe my little boy is growing up so fast. He had a good year this year. He still has a hard time going to school some days. He is a very fun loving kid and has made a lot of new friends this year. The last day of school is still a week away. Seth is ready for school to be over and the summer to begin.
Each Student got to say what their favorite part of kindergarten was. Seth was nervous when he said "My name is Seth and my favorite part of kindergarten in playing outside." |

Good to see Old Friends....
We were able to go to Fredericksburg, VA this weekend to visit with friends. We left Saturday after all the soccer madness (only one game left). We stayed with Nana & Grandpa.
Sunday after church we were able to visit with my friend Liz and her kids, including her one month old baby Daisy, who were visiting from Hawaii. My kids loved holding baby Daisy, okay so did I. It is hard to believe that my kids were that little at one time.
We were also able to spend time with one of Sean's friends Aaron and his family.
It is fun to visit with friends you have not seen in a long time. It was a very fun weekend.

Anniversary/Mother's Day Weekend
I always feel like I must have pictures to make a blog post. I am trying to get over that and get back into posting regularly. We shall see.
Saturday Sean and I celebrated 11 years of wedded bliss!! Our morning consisted of soccer games as usual and a birthday party that Seth was invited to. After the morning madness was over Sean and I headed out for our Big Date. We went to the temple then a YUMMY dinner at BoneFish Grill. If you have never been there, I highly recommend it. As we were sitting at dinner Sean informed me that my anniversary gift was a "Day Off"!! I need to get that planned before he changes his mind. :-)
For Mother's Day Sean and the kids made me eggs, hash browns, bacon and cinnamon rolls. It was delicious. After breakfast I was showered with homemade gifts the kids made at school. The kids also gave me an iPod touch. Sean gave me a beautiful necklace with all 5 of the kids names and birthstones. For dinner we have fettuccine and grilled chicken. It was also delicious and the best part was I did not have to make it or clean up after it was over.
School is winding down for us, only 2 weeks left. I am not sure I am ready for the summer madness but I am definitely ready to be finished with homework, getting up and getting ready and now just relaxing.
