Sleepy Seth

Okay, let me just start this with a reminder that I have an infant, and might I add, that does not nap very well and cries a lot. I have to choose which battles I am going to fight and the nap battle with Seth is one that has been slacking. Usually quiet time now consists of watching a movie. Well, yesterday Seth did not get a nap. Jacob and Emma were playing the Wii and I was making dinner. I realized that I had not seen or heard Seth in a little while so I asked Jacob and Emma if Seth was in there with them and the both looked around and replied "no, he must be in the basement". So I headed to the basement to check on him and the door to the basement was closed so I knew he was not down there. As I walked through the living room, where Jacob and Emma were, to go upstairs to check on him, I found him as you see him in this picture. If you can not tell what it is, we have a large basket that sits by our fireplace that holds several blankets. It is the perfect size for Seth to sit in, which he does often. He looked very comfortable and warm with all the blankets.

Finally a little snow

Jacob loves the snow and shoveling.
Emma is like mommy and is not a huge fan of snow but wanted to be outside in it with her brothers.

Seth really likes the snow but gets cold very quickly and wants to constantly go in and out, which as we all know is a huge pain when you are putting on and taking off snow clothes.

Yesterday we finally got a tiny bit of snow here. There was not even enough to cover the grass but that did not matter to the kids. When we got up, at about 7am, the kids saw the snow and immediately wanted to go outside. I had to feed Lucy and Sean was not home from work yet so I informed them that they would have to wait until daddy got home. Well, daddy was still not here so I finally got them all outfitted to go out at about 8am. None of them would go get socks and all of them have their PJ's on under their snow stuff. They were making snow angels and trying to make snowballs. Jacob shoveled the driveway so it was clear when daddy got home. Even though it was not a lot and it was gone by the afternoon, Jacob did not have to go to school and they all enjoyed it while it lasted.
