Summer Vacation Week 2

Monday I had a doctor's appointment in the morning. When I returned home we packed the kids in the car and went strawberry picking. It was a lot of fun. We learned that Emma is a very diligent and patient strawberry picker. We picked almost 10 pounds of strawberries. They are all now in the freezer.

Tuesday morning Sean and Jacob headed out to a free movie. They saw "Space Chimps". We will probably see a few more free movies this summer. They do it every Tuesday and Wednesday at a movie theater near us. Tuesday afternoon was swimming. We have a friend at church who has a pool and has invited everyone over on Tuesday and Thursday's, we will definitely take advantage of that this summer. Jacob was very comfortable in the water and was even going off the diving board. This is a big step for him and I am glad he is more comfortable in the water since I have others to worry about and make sure they do not drown.

We headed to Fredericksburg to visit Sean's parents on Thursday morning. We ended up staying until late Friday night because of Sean and some military police. He is fine and did nothing wrong but Friday was a long day of going back and forth from the DMV, to the bank, to get paperwork out of the van and making phone calls to insurance companies.

Today Jacob had another birthday party. It was a swimming party. He has already been swimming quite a bit this summer and really enjoys it. It was a friend from his kindergarten class. He had fun seeing friends that he has not seen since the end of school two weeks ago.

Tomorrow we are headed to Gettysburg, PA for a couple days.
