Trip to Gettysburg, PA

Last Sunday afternoon we packed up the van and headed to Gettysburg, PA. It is only about an hour drive from us. We stayed until Tuesday. We had a good time. We were going to camp and were looking for campsites and found one that had cabins. We thought cabins would be fun. It was nothing glamorous, basically two rooms, one with what they called a queen, but much more like a double and one with two bunk beds. The campground had several playgrounds and a pool. Monday we drove through Gettysburg. The kids did really well and had a good time. Monday afternoon daddy took the kids swimming while mommy and Lucy took a much needed nap. Monday night after dinner we had Family Home Evening around a campfire and made smores.

Gettysburg National Cemetery
This is where Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address.

I am not sure this is allowed but I was in the van feeding Lucy so I had nothing to do with it.
By the way I am not sure what in the world Seth is doing.
Smores!!
Emma roasted her marshmallows very slow and took her time that they were just right.

Our Cabin.

I got some ashes on my finger and thought it would be fun to make the kids "warriors". They enjoyed that. Emma did not want her picture taken with "dirt" on her face, she is such a GIRL!!
